Yandex.Checkout to Provide Online Payments for Renault Russia

Yandex.Checkout, Russia’s leading onlinepayment service, has enabled Russians to prepay for their Renaultcars online. Renault.ru online store offers its customers a variety of 2016vehicles, which are now available for booking and prepayment via the storewebsite.

“Russian people are already used to online shopping,they no longer fear buying expensive things via the Internet. Online carpurchase is still regarded as a new service for the Russian market, however ithas a promising potential. We believe that the case of such a successful automobile manufacturer as Renault is a great example forthe whole market, which will eventually speed up the process of other automobile companies coming online”, saysAlexander Magomedov, Yandex.Money Chief Commercial Officer.

Earlier this year Renault Russia launchedan online prepayment pilot for its Renault Kaptur crossover. Russian users can now prepayfor other vehicles: Logan, Sandero,Sandero Stepway, Duster and Fluence. The sum of the payment cannot exceed30 000 rubles (~$500). The payment can be made via any bank card – withoutany additional fees.

Renault.ru is now collaborating with 60 dealers in 35 cities inRussia. The company is planning to expand in Russia adding prepayment for otherservices and car parts.

Accordingto the latest data by Yandex.Money, the number of Russians ordering car partsand accessories online this year has increased by 80%.
