October 24, 2017 – Transaction Network Services (TNS) has signed a new significant deal with one of the leading processors in the US to support the deployment and management of wireless point-of-sale (POS) terminals via its flexible TNSPay Mobile SIM solution.
The agreement boosts TNS’ extensive industry coverage and means TNSPay Mobile can now offer ISO’s the ability to reach all of the top 5 processors in the US, as well as an extensive portfolio of other acquirers, banks and payments industry end-points.
TNSPay Mobile simplifies the complexity of deploying, securing and managing a wireless payment terminal portfolio while allowing users to maintain full program control. The product includes a web-based portal for customizable, user defined criteria for on-demand reporting and monitoring of terminal estates.
Lisa Shipley, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of TNS’ Payments Division, said: “We are delighted to have secured this new deal as part of our ongoing strategic plan to put TNS at the core of the payments industry ecosystem. TNSPay Mobile is a perfect example of how one easy connection to us provides a wealth of opportunities, including efficiency gains, technological expertize and flexibility.
“TNSPay Mobile is a simple cost effective alternative to processors, acquirers and ISOs creating their own wireless POS solution in-house. We relieve the burden of establishing direct connections to individual carriers and developing suitable web-based interfaces, while providing scalability that can easily be switched on as required.”
TNSPay Mobile is part of one of the payments industry’s leading payments networks which handles billions of transactions each year and has more than 500,000 SIMs deployed around the world. In the US alone, TNSPay Mobile supports over 30,000 wireless POS terminals. It works with a wide range of terminal types, including the latest 3G and 4G wireless equipment.
Ms Shipley said: “TNSPay Mobile is an attractive proposition because of TNS’ extensive network footprint which customers can leverage to scale their businesses in line with evolving requirements. It is also highly secure, handling transactions over a resilient private connection instead of the public Internet.
“For the top 5 US processors, TNSPay Mobile offers vital connectivity and transaction reporting tools, with a range of added benefits. For example, the technology also allows ‘white-listing’ of terminals, which we expect to particularly appeal to IP terminal deployers and users.”
TNSPay Mobile enables processors, acquirers and ISOs to increase their revenue and improve merchant satisfaction with a secure and resilient solution utilizing a PCI DSS certified network. A full suite of online tools provides easy management and merchant support.
Ms Shipley said: “Our customers frequently tell us that our web portal is superior to alternatives and our customer service is exceptional. Our long-standing reputation and heritage assures the payments industry that we are a reliable and stable partner that closely follows market dynamics and responds to new customer requirements.”
