7-Eleven Extends Mobile App Delivery To Public Spaces

C-stores have been punching above their weight in recent times when it comes to fresher food and beverage selections, as well as expanded store footprints. Add mobile app features to where they are now making their mark.

7-Eleven just announced a delivery option to its 7NOW mobile app. Available in major U.S. markets, hungry and thirsty customers who are out and about can order, pay, and take delivery of 7-Eleven items at auto-located public spots. C-stores are elbowing into the market space of QSRs and Fast Casual eateries, who also have extensive delivery networks. If consumers continue to use food delivery services, it looks like finding an empty restaurant table will become a lot easier.

A Mobile Marketer article discusses more on this topic which is excerpted below.

  • 7-Eleven has added a feature to its 7NOW delivery app that will enable customers to receive delivery at thousands of predetermined locations, including parks, beaches, sports fields, entertainment venues and other public spaces.
  • Customers can choose from beverages, fresh and hot foods, beer and wine from participating markets, snacks, cosmetics, home goods and thousands of other products.
  • Shoppers use to app to auto locate their current location or show the closet 7NOW Pin, which corresponds to a public place or space where delivery is available. A courier will pick up and deliver the goods within 30 minutes or less.

“We continuously challenge ourselves to find even more ways to offer convenience and value to our customers — when and where people need it most,” Raghu Mahadevan, 7-Eleven vice president of delivery, said in a statement.
