As a result of the merger, Epic’s current CEO and co-founder, Ryan O’Connor will become the President of Intrix’s new merchant acquiring division, Intrix Payment Solutions and co-founder Stephanie O’Connor will continue as Vice President of Business Development for Intrix Payment Solutions.

Payment processing technology and gateway provider Intrix Technology has acquired the assets of Colorado-based independent sales organization Epic Processing for an undisclosed amount. Intrix is led and managed by a team and board that counts former MasterCard and JPMorgan Chase executives and a ViVOtech co-founder among their members. Epic’s portfolio numbered roughly 2,000 merchants.
