A company named mopay has built a global network connecting 80 countries around the world and recently added India and South Korea to the list. Its mobile payment platform allows online payments to offer mobile payment options to the consumers in these markets.
“By adding the two countries to its coverage list, mopay specifically addresses two target groups: foreign, online merchants aiming to do business in the emerging and established Asian markets, and Asian companies seeking to roll out their offers internationally via one single mobile payment platfor,”says Kolja Reiss, Managing Director of mopay.
Though mopay claims to have a strong blue chip client base and can reach over 3.9 billion consumers in these countries, it didn’t disclose how many actual users and how many transactions it is handling.
