A day after American Express announced further integration with Twitter for offers and social commerce, Cardlytics, a vendor that powers several banks’ merchant funded reward programs, announced that it too is integrating offers with social media.
From the press release:
“Extending our reward program to Facebook is a really exciting development,” said Jason Brooks, U.K. managing director of Cardlytics. “This functionality will increase engagement between banks and their customers. Now banks have an option to interact with their customers in new media like Facebook, without compromising any principles on security and data protection.”
Banks are still trying to figure out the best way to deliver offers to their cardholders. Social media sites could be a valuable tool for delivering offers to cardholders that don’t log in to their accounts frequently.
