Mobile POS in India

Mobile POS devices enable merchants big and small to accept card payments where convenience is required or where landline telecom infrastructure is lacking. And various vendors in India have been offering or development mobile point-of-sale terminals for merchants in the market.
From a Techcircle article:
The mobile payments market in India has been heating up for some time and a number of companies have either launched/are soon going to launch mobile PoS (point of sale) solutions – ranging from apps which accept card details to card readers which can be used to turn a simple feature phone into a PoS terminal for swiping credit/debit cards or even for some simple bank transactions.
The retail industry in India is very fragmented, with organized retailers accounting for just about 5% of the total retail value. Mobile POS will certainly help smaller merchants to start accepting card payments leveraging their mobile phone lines.
