Wright Express Enters Healthcare Market

Wright Express' single-use virtual card for travel bookings has been one of the company's fastest growing products in recent years. The PaySpan partnership will provide even more growth opportunities for virtual cards by extending the program to the healthcare vertical.
From the press release:
"This agreement expands our highly successful single-use virtual payments offering for online travel and claims companies into a new vertical that is facing increasingly complex payment solution needs -- healthcare payments -- to help client companies find ways to save money and time, increase control and security, and manage scale," said David D. Maxsimic, executive vice president at Wright Express.
Wright Express is well known for its prominance in the fleet industry, but the company is making a concerted effort to diversify its business model. The PaySpan partnership will help Wright Express position itself as a provider of corporate and prepaid payment solutions, lessening the company's emphasis on fleet card payment processing.
